Hybrid Culture

How do digital networks transform cultural institutions?

Digitalization supports hybridization as a fusion of creative artistic practices (post-medium art) as well as of cultural creators and consumers (cultural co-creation). Participatory social media open up cultural institutions and transform them into active players in the creation of communities.

The lecture is supported by concrete examples such as the projects Embassy Lab, INbetweenSTITUTE (for the 798 Art Distict in Beijing ), Humboldt Jungle and Humboldt Volcano.
