Humboldt Futures @ Atlas der Datenkörper

The Humboldt Forum’s reconstructed baroque exterior of the demolished Berlin Palace evokes associations with the imperial German and Prussian past, while it houses Berlin’s ethnographic collections and is promoted as a place of “dialogue with the world’s cultures”.
So far, the manifold problems of the Humboldt Forum have been addressed primarily in conventional formats such as text contributions, panel discussions, and workshops.
But this is not enough.

The Winter Worm Summer Herb pavilion consists of triangular plywood plates sown together with the help of cable binders.
At a very low cost and low technology construction the pavilion is also a flexible mobile structure that can be very easily disassembled, transported, reassembled and sown together again, adjusting to the size of the site and the local requirements.
