The concept of Affect Space deals with the overlap of urban public spaces, the explosive growth of mobile media and wireless networks, and the intense affective exchanges that increasingly dominate how these spaces function.

The international program on â(re-) Designing Affect Spaceâ is an extended design, practice, and theory project. It consists of a series of master classes with public interventions, of international conferences and of pop-up exhibitions.
Hybrid Space Lab is leading a master class in Madrid and organizing an international conference and a master class with public interventions and a related exhibition in Berlin.
Their work has been foundational for the development of the Affect Space concept and research.
The â(re-) Designing Affect Spaceâ international program is initiated and organised by Eric Kluitenberg and the Cool Mediators Foundation.
